Money Transfers

An Überweisung or Geldüberweisung (money transfer) is the standard way to transfer money to another person or from one account to another.

Ich möchte Geld überweisen. - I’d like to transfer money/pay into an account.

An Überweisung form (available in both German and English) can be filled out in writing or online. You will need the firm or person’s name, account number, and Bankleitzahl (bank code) for each account.
